Project/construction management of 11 Job Corps Centers consists of 416 buildings (1,706,085 sf). Projects include the 270,761 sf Edison Job Corps Center in Edison, NJ; the 254,061 sf Brunswick Job Corps Center in Brunswick, GA; the 217,958 sf Whitney Young Job Corps Center in Simpsonville, KY; the 173,660 sf Paul Simon Job Corps Center in Chicago, IL; the 132,230 sf Miami Job Corps Center in Miami, FL; and the 131,990 sf Flatwoods Job Corps Center in Coeburn, VA. 

Responsibilities:

  • A&E design and construction management
  • Performing facility condition assessments
  • Preparing scopes, negotiate and recommend award of design and construction contracts
  • Support and participate in site facility surveys conducted by the technical team composed of architects, electrical engineers and mechanical/plumbing engineers
  • Preparing and presenting construction schedules and budgets
  • Develop rehabilitation and acquisition documents for different facets that may be appropriate depending on the project, contractor availability on specific regions
  • Providing design project management
  • Construction project management; technical and administrative support
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contract documents, blueprints, specifications, engineering reports, safety rules and regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, ability to face challenging situations, view from a variety of different angles; assess strength of options, select and implement the best solutions
  • Ensures key stakeholders are adequately briefed and engaged, and regularly updated on progress and issues
  • Understands the importance of timely and accurate project reporting and ensures that all documentation required by stakeholders and the project team is available and correct. Takes personal accountability for project governance
  • 30% travel to various project sites on East Coast
Desired Skills & Experience:

Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years of experience performing in the capacity listed above
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
  • RA or AIA certification required
  • Project experience in buildings, hospitals, high rise towers, or other vertical construction projects
  • Outstanding written, verbal, public speaking and presentation skills
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance required for the position

Job Description:

Our team is looking for an entrepreneurial, dynamic and collaborative HR Manager who will leverage 15+ years of hands-on HR experience and strong business acumen to manage the day-to-day HR needs of our multi-state organization and lead innovative HR initiatives in conjunction with the management team.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a link between management and employees by addressing employee questions and interpreting and administering terms of employment.
  • Analyzes and modifies compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Advise on HR best practices that comply with State and Federal rules and regulations. Implement Company HR policies and procedures.

Desired Skills & Experience:

Experience in payroll, timekeeping, and HR information systems a plus. Excellent knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations including leave administration and labor categorization. Previous experience with a privately-owned business and a multi-state organization is a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Superior interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Job Description:

·     Develop, monitor, control and update the project schedule using Primavera software to ensure the project is optimally executed.

·     Must be able to create various types of project schedules (especially Master and Baseline Schedules)

·     Assist in planning and developing detailed engineering and construction baseline schedules for vertical construction, civil/structural projects including cost loading and CPM scheduling.

·     Analyze drawings, specifications and statements of work in the preparation of activity networks for project resource planning and scheduling.

·     Assist in reviewing region project schedules to ensure compliance with contract, reviewing progress and reporting variances.

·     Assist executives in developing preconstruction schedules and proposal schedules.

·     Analyze progress reports against the schedules for projects

·     Evaluate the actual construction status relative to proposed schedule and budget and analyze the impacts of changes to schedules and cost proposals by developing and maintaining fragnets and performing time impact analysis

Desired Skills & Experience:

- Extensive experience with OSHPD related projects

- 10+ years of scheduling experience

- Will need to be proficient with P6.
